The Wilds, by Bob Jacksy

The Wilds is a private, non-profit conservation center located on nearly 10,000 acres of reclaimed mine land in rural southeastern Ohio. It was created as the conservation center of the future by a group of civic leaders, political leaders and zoo professionals.

Last summer, Metroparks naturalist/photographer Bob Jacksy used volunteer leave time to travel to the wilds and photograph rare animal species. This exhibit features images from his project.

The Wilds is one of four exhibits now open at the National Center for Nature Photography.
